Most frequently asked questions about Maritime Industry

In the press conference of 14 December, the government has announced that the so-called evening lockdown will be extended until Friday January 14, 2022. This extension does not affect Maritime Industry on May 17, 18 and 19, 2022 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. Trade shows are allowed as they are so-called flow events where people are constantly walking in and out. Besides there is a low risk of  contamination because of the short duration of stay.  Maritime Industry can be visited with a corona admission ticket. We answer the most common questions below.

 

You will receive access to the event with one of the followings proofs:

Vaccination certificate:

A complete corona vaccination with a European approved vaccine. In the Netherlands, a vaccination is usually valid from 14 days after you have been fully vaccinated. Were you vaccinated with Janssen on or after August 14, 2021? Then your vaccination in the Netherlands is valid after 28 days.

Recovery Proof:

An evidence of a positive corona test from a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 180 days ago.

Negative test result:

A negative test result less than 24 hours before your visit to the event. Both a PCR and antigen test are valid.

A covid-pass is mandatory from the age of 13. From the age of 14, visitors need to show a covid-pass and a valid identity card (can also be a passport or drivers license).

European countries have agreed that every country must have a system for a Covid-pass. They call this the EU Digital Corona Certificate (EU DCC). International exhibitors and visitors can enter the exhibition floor with their covid certificate.

No, because the occupancy rate is low during those moments. In addition, the open doors provide extra air circulation.

Yes, the Corona Check takes place every event day. Even if you leave the exhibition floor in the meantime, a new check is needed.

The safety of visitors, exhibitors and our own staff is our top priority. We are delighted to be able to open our doors again, but at the same time we want to keep the risk of contamination as low as possible. Moreover, a negative test is only valid for 24 hours. That is why we have decided to set up a permanent corona control that has to be passed at all times before entering the exhibition floor. We hope for your understanding for this safety measure.

Yes, visitors from the age of 13 need to show a covid-pass and a valid identity card (can also be a passport or drivers license).

It is mandatory to wear a face mask at trade shows till at least January 14, 2022. Meaning, you have to wear a face mask when you are moving on the exhibition floor.

Sanitizer stations will be placed at various points on the exhibition floor, so that you can disinfect hands according to your wishes. Furthermore, there will be the possibility to disinfect hands at every stand. In addition, we have further optimized our air treatment systems, which helps limits the transmission of respiratory infections such as COVID-19. Plus, there is now an even healthier and more pleasant indoor climate in our exhibition halls.

The role of a tarde show is very important in many ways. There are several sectors in the Netherlands that have experienced the negative consequences of the coronapandemic. The Dutch government therefore sees trade fairs as the drivers for the recovery of the economy. This is where supply and demand come together, tomorrow’s innovations are presented and the Dutch business community meets. There are industries that realise up to 40 per cent of their annual turnover at fairs. Trade fairs are also indispensable for other service providers, such as stand builders. The local and regional economy also benefits when a trade fair or event takes place, such as hotels, taxi services and restaurants.

Recently, we conducted a large-scale survey among visitors to trade fairs taking place this autumn. In total, more than 6,000 respondents took part. This showed that 90% of the visitors intend to visit fairs again this autumn.

We have already organised the first fairs and we see that there is a great need to see each other face-to-face again. Moreover, the first reactions from exhibitors show that visitors now visit the fair in a very targeted way and that the quality of the visitors is very high.

The quarantine rules for traveling to the Netherlands have changed as of September 22. No, in case of cancellation by the customer, the terms of cancellation are as stated in the relevant agreement. In case Easyfairs itself unexpectedly decides to cancel a trade show or event, Easyfairs will consider on a case-by-case basis whether the event in question can be rescheduled.
