Seafar supports and controls automated vessels from a Shore Control Centre. The ships are integrated with the Seafar Control System and are operated onshore by a certified captain. Seafar is a front-runner in the development and operational integration of state of the art technologies for semi-autonomous and unmanned shipping.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be working with our R&D engineers
Contribute to the end-to-end development of state of the art machine learning systems, from metric definition and data set creation to model deployment and monitoring – e.g. computer vision models
Develop and improve sensor fusion
Work on deploying models on edge devices and tuning performance (nvidia jetson)
Develop new vision algorithms, e.g for multi-object tracking
Build a scalable data pipeline for training and deploying models
Participate in EU projects

What you’ll need:
DEGREE
Bachelor, Master or PhD Degree in :
Engineering (e.g. Computer science, Cybernetics, mechatronics )
Science (Mathematics, Physics)
SKILLS
Proven successful AI projects
With Machine Learning framework
Be able to program with python, dot Net and or C++
Experience with computer vision is not required, but a big plus
Knowledge of Radar is a plus
Fluent in English, French or Dutch is an advantage
3+ years of experience
Must be able to communicate and document
