The system is applicable to surfaces with a cleanliness level up to WJ-4 and St 2–St 3, often eliminating the need for intensive surface preparation onboard. Its long-term performance is based on a pore-free seal and effective rust prevention, even under severe marine conditions. Chemco RS500P is typically applied as an alternative to Sigma 280 / yellow green.
