In 1916, De Nederlandsche Elektrische Lakfabriek (NELF) was one of the first paint manufacturers in the Netherlands to use electricity to produce paint. Soon after its inception, Nelf developed special coatings and protective products for the nautical sector. And not without success! The marine division grew and became the favorite brand of a broad customer base in the Netherlands and far beyond. Since 2008, all nautical knowledge, expertise, and capacity have been bundled under the banner of Nelf Marine Paints to serve this specialized, international market even better.
