About us

Shipsonic supplies ultrasonic anti-fouling systems. By attaching ultrasonic transducers to components located in seawater (or in the splash zone), the surface to be protected is subjected to ultrasonic vibration. This vibration prevents the formation of biofilm. Without biofilm, no fouling occurs. Shipsonic installs its systems primarily on keel coolers, bow thruster tunnels, strainers, water intake pipes, and sea boxes. Furthermore, the system works excellently on hulls made of steel, polyester, polyethylene, and especially aluminum. Shipsonic distinguishes itself from competitors through a patented method of attaching the transducers. Thanks to welded rings and screws, the transducers are pressed firmly against the surface to be protected. In addition, Shipsonic possesses special software that allows the components to be protected to be precisely controlled at their own resonant frequency. Due to these innovations, the Shipsonic system delivers a significantly higher SPL (sound pressure level) than competing systems. Moreover, Shipsonic distinguishes itself by not supplying applications whose operation is unclear or known to be ineffective. We would like to get in touch with inland shipping companies that also operate in salt or brackish water and wish to analyze their fouling problems and the possibilities offered by ultrasonic technology together with us. For some ship components, however, we recommend solutions other than ultrasound. After all, the end result for the customer is more important to us than short-term revenue.
