VESSEL MANAGER (ZEEVAART)

We are looking for a Vessel Manager for our maritime department. Are you someone with a technical background and do you have experience with tankers? Then this position might be something for you.

As a Vessel Manager you are part of our Fleet team and you are responsible for a number of assigned ships. Your role extends from liaising with crew on board to planning and carrying out essential repairs and maintenance projects. You are the key to optimizing the technical performance and reliability of our fleet, working closely with colleagues, suppliers, classification societies and authorities to keep our fleet in top condition.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You guarantee the technical integrity of the ships under your care.
- As the primary point of contact for technical questions, you are the bridge between the crew and management.
- You plan and supervise repairs, class surveys and dockings, closely monitoring progress.
- Through your contacts with suppliers, classification societies and authorities, you ensure smooth handling of technical matters.
- You are responsible for monitoring technical purchasing processes and ensuring an efficient and cost-effective approach.

We ask:
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Demonstrable work experience in a similar position within the maritime sector.
- A flexible and positive working attitude, with the ability to work independently within a small team.
- Fluent command of both the Dutch and English languages, both oral and written.
- A commercial institution and in possession of a driver's license.
- Availability for a full-time position (40 hours per week) and living within a maximum radius of 50 km from Dordrecht.
