GORINCHEM – Maritime Industry 2025 has once again lived up to its reputation as the premier gathering for the inland waterway sector. Kai Dompeling, Campaign Marketer at Maritime Industry, looks back with enthusiasm: “We can look back on three successful days. The growth in the number of exhibitors resulted in a larger exhibition floor than in previous years, partly due to the addition of the Belgian Pavilion at Next Level. The picture was completed by the fact that we also saw an increase in visitor numbers. All of this has resulted in a very successful edition.”
Tank-Eye Wins the 2025 Innovation Award
In the specially designed Innovation Gallery at Next Level, eight forward-thinking organizations presented their latest developments to the public. Visitors not only had the opportunity to examine these developments up close, but could also vote for the innovation that impressed them the most.
Tank-Eye from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht received the most votes. Their advanced camera system for tank inspection was voted by the public as the most groundbreaking innovation of the trade show. The accompanying award was presented in a festive ceremony on Wednesday evening to Frank Kerstens and Deef Claeys by Geert Kluytmans, Head of Events at Maritime Industry.
A commitment to both the industry and society: €6,130 for the Sailwise Foundation
In addition to business success, there was also room for social engagement. This year, the focus was on Stichting Sailwise, an organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities through active water sports vacations.
Thanks to the generous support of visitors and the proceeds from a successful raffle, a wonderful total of €6,130 was raised. The proceeds will be used for major maintenance on the Lutgerdina, a special ship through which Sailwise continues its mission.
Looking ahead to 2026: Festive anniversary edition on June 2, 3, and 4
With satisfied exhibitors and enthusiastic visitors, the organizers are now setting their sights on a special milestone: the 20th edition of Maritime Industry, which will take place on June 2, 3, and 4, 2026, at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. This anniversary edition is already shaping up to be something special.
Market confidence is high: more than 235 exhibitors confirmed their participation for next year right at the trade show. “That’s an incredible show of confidence, and we’re incredibly proud of it,” said Kai Dompeling. “The 20th edition is one you won’t want to miss!”
