HDM Sustainable Solutions Welkom bij HDM Sustainable Solutions, een nieuw onderdeel van de HDM-groep dat zich richt op het bevorderen van een groenere toekomst. Hierbij staan het reduceren van emissies en verbeteren van het klimaat en circulariteit hoog in het vaandel. Om hier aan te kunnen bijdragen hebben we een aantal speerpunten ons ten doel gesteld. Energieopslag met ESBA Een van deze doelen is het opslaan van energie die bijvoorbeeld door zon of wind wordt opgewekt. Het ESBA-project (Energy Storage By Air) is een systeem waarbij we energie, opgewekt door zonnepanelen of windmolens, opslaan in een luchtdrukbatterij. Het grote voordeel is dat deze energie op een later tijdstip kan worden gebruikt, zoals ’s avonds, voor het laden van elektrische voertuigen. Dit leidt direct tot een aanzienlijke vermindering van CO2-uitstoot en kan tevens een deeloplossing bieden voor de groeiende netcongestie. Hier ziet u de indicatieve werking van de ESBA. We zullen regelmatig updates delen over de voortgang van dit project op onze website. Emissiemetingen en het CTU-project Industriële emissies kunnen met door HDM ontwikkelde meettechnologie gemeten, online ingezien en opgeslagen worden. Het zogenoemde ‘Meten aan de pijp’ stelt ons in staat om de uitstoot van motoren continu te monitoren. Daarnaast kunnen we metingen van vluchtige koolwaterstoffen uitvoeren om dampverwerkingssysteem te monitoren en aan te sturen. De CTU is een dampverwerkingssysteem en vormt het volgende doel van HDM. Het CTU-project (Cargo Treatment Unit) krijgt momenteel de hoogste prioriteit vanwege het aanstaande ontgasverbod dat op 1 juli 2024 van kracht wordt. Met onze CTU-unit zorgen we ervoor dat dampen en gassen, die tot nu toe nog vrij in de atmosfeer werden uitgestoten, worden teruggecondenseerd tot de oorspronkelijke lading/vloeistof. Op deze manier voorkomen we dat schadelijke stoffen in de lucht worden vrijgelaten. Ook over dit project zullen we regelmatig updates delen naarmate het vordert.
