Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland (KBN) is the leading industry organization for inland shipping in the Netherlands, with significant European influence.
KBN is the body that serves as the natural spokesperson for the industry and its members, representing them to all levels of government and other organizations. KBN advocates for its various member groups and for the sector as a whole.
KBN is active on a wide range of issues, including sustainability, modal shift, digitalization, and safety. There is also significant focus on infrastructure, nautical/technical matters, as well as employer interests and the labor market.
