Complex (damage) repairs, hydraulic and electrical steering gear installations, and ship lengthenings. But also the installation of generators and the placement of bow thruster units. We have an 86-meter transverse slipway, a 110-meter outfitting quay, and a workshop with overhead cranes and two large tower cranes. With 70 years of experience on board, we find the right answer to every challenge.

Ship slipway 86 meters.
A ship on the slipway for maintenance, repair, or inspection? At Scheepswerf Geertman's 86-meter-long cross slipway, there is ample space for a wide range of shipbuilding jobs. This provides a solid foundation for work on the hull, engineering, and installations, carried out with the expertise, flexibility, and direct lines of communication for which our shipyard is known.
Ship quay 110 meters
Scheepswerf Geertman also offers ample space at the quay to work on your ship. At our 110-meter-long quay, we carry out a wide range of activities, supported by a tower crane and the use of work pontoons and all necessary facilities.
Complex damage repairs: we have everything in-house to repair complex damage to your ship.
Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, even on the water. Had a collision with your ship? Scheepswerf Geertman has everything it takes to perform complex damage repairs. We offer the solution for every problem.!
Renovations: Making a good ship even better.
Making a good ship even better; Geertman Shipyard is happy to help you realize your specific shipping wishes. We are your go-to for all types of conversions, from installing a propeller nozzle and new rudders, laying a new steel cargo floor, and tunnel modifications to ship lengthening and shortening.
Ship Electrics: We have everything in-house for electrical installations and repairs.
Het ontwerpen, realiseren, aanpassen en repareren van complete elektrische (stuurwerk)installaties op jouw schip? Bij Scheepswerf Geertman vaar je altijd ‘met de stroom mee’. Ook certificeringen van elektrische installaties (onder andere de meggertest) voeren we graag voor je uit.
Marine Engineering: everything in-house for hydraulic systems and repairs.
The lifting column, pump room, steering gear, and the truck-mounted crane; an inland vessel contains many hydraulic components and systems. Scheepswerf Geertman installs and maintains the complete hydraulics on your ship. In addition, we install new and used generators and engines.
Ship certifications: we are an approved company for your ship certification.
Scheepswerf Geertman is a recognized company for certifying various components of your ship. Thanks to our years of experience, we know what classifiers inspect. We certify and carry out modifications to, among other things, electrical installations (including the Megger test), truck-mounted cranes, steering gear systems, and wheelhouse lifting columns.
