The tasks can vary from very large bunkering of 200 m3 to much smaller bunkering operations. Many seagoing vessels are part of our customer base, as well as inland shipping vessels and water buses. One time, you may sail to a port in Rotterdam, and the next time, you might head to Moerdijk.
The work of a bunker employee on a bunker boat is dynamic. One day it’s calm, and you’re mainly involved in maintenance. The next day it can be very busy with navigation or loading the bunker station. That’s why we also work with a schedule that includes sufficient rest periods and provides as much certainty as possible about the evenings and weekends you have off. You are, at least, free on Sundays because we don’t operate on that day.
What do you need exactly?
You must enjoy being active in the world of inland and maritime navigation. It’s important that you have the necessary certificates (Master’s License and ADN Basis) to navigate. If you don’t have ADN Basis yet, it’s essential to obtain it as soon as possible. You are responsible for valuable equipment where mistakes, such as overflows, can have significant consequences. Therefore, you are someone with a strong sense of responsibility. You are tidy and contribute to maintenance. As a bunker employee, you are social, representing the company on the water. You are meticulous and enjoy getting things done.
The quality of our service depends on good teamwork. Therefore, mutual collegiality is indispensable. You are someone who doesn’t panic when it gets (suddenly) busy. You remain calm and maintain an overview. You are someone who enjoys looking for ways to improve and brings good ideas to enhance our services.
Excited? We would love to hear from you!
