What you will do
As a Service Coordinator within the Marine & Offshore Business Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities at various workshops. You receive equipment from engineers who have just come off a ship, for example, and ensure that all relevant information is entered correctly into the system before the equipment goes to our workshops. You then ensure that all equipment is ready on time in consultation with the planning department, taking into account tight schedules as ships are often only in port for a short time.
You will also fulfil a customer-oriented role, speaking to customers at the reception desk and acting as a point of contact for both internal employees and external parties such as suppliers and customers. Administrative tasks are an important part of this job; all administration of mechanics will have to be processed in the system. In addition, you will also perform occasional physical work, such as assisting in unloading trucks and making sure equipment gets to the right place in the workshops.
