The waterjet has many advantages over conventional screw drives:
– To be used on shallow draft
– No parts rotating outside the hull (lifeboats)
– Good maneuvering properties, even at low sailing speeds
– Great comfort and ease of use
– Good propulsion efficiency at higher speeds
– Low maintenance costs and easily replaceable in emergencies
The water jets can be supplied with impellers from 200 mm to approx. 1000 mm at capacities from 100 kW to 5500 kW.
There are five types of jets
– HJX Series, Improved performance and easier installation
– HTX Series, fast and manoeuvrable
– HJ-Series, for ships up to 20 meters
– HM-Series for ships from 20 to 60 meters
– HT-Series, for ships from 60 meters
