Because the natural rubber disc is flexible, it retracts the carbide-tipped pins, creating a pendulum motion. This motion causes the carbide-tipped pins to hammer against the surface being cleaned. The hammering action doesn't generate heat, allowing even tough materials like tar, adhesive, and sealant to be easily removed. Using Tercoo discs Tercoo discs are used on a drill at an optimal speed of 2500 to 3000 rpm. Tercoo discs can be used up to a maximum of 4000 rpm.
