About us
AutoMooring Solutions (AMS) is a deep tech scale-up pioneering the future of marine robotics. Started in 2021, we've been developing automated Ship-to-Ship (STS) mooring systems powered by vacuum technology, AI, and precision-controlled robotic arms.
In 2024, we unveiled the world’s first telescopic mooring robot the Rope Picker Robot (RPR) at the Maritime Industry conference. With a reach of over 15 meters and intelligent bollard recognition, the RPR allows inland vessels to (un)moor at the push of a button, directly from the wheelhouse with no crew on deck required.
Today, the RPR has completely transformed and has evolved into the Remote Payload Robot: an all-in-one solution for automated mooring, bunkering, and e-charging connections. All designed with one mission in mind:

Ship to Ship Mooring system (STS)
The AMS STS is an advanced automated mooring - unmooring solution which combines vacuum, artificial intelligence based motion and position control and modular robotic arms. which replaces hazardous manual operations using conventional mooring lines, winches and fenders. AI Integration (AIV) AIVision System: Utilizing advanced AI algorithms to optimize mooring operations, the system positions robotic arms precisely at specific mooring points, ensuring accurate distance control and ship positioning. Vacuum Mooring Technology: Secure mooring and unmooring of vessels using vacuum pads, reducing the risk of human error and preventing damage to the hull of the receiving ship. Versatile Operational Scope: Suitable for a variety of Ship-to-Ship operations, including LNG bunkering, crane barges, tugboats and jetty-less transfer systems. The perfect scalable and modular solution for all STS operations. Real-Time Monitoring: Provides accurate feedback on mooring forces, position and movement of both vessels.

Remote Payload Robot (RPR)
The RPR Rope Payload Robot is an advanced modular robotic arm that automates the handling of mooring lines, charge Connectors, ESD Links, bunkering connections and many more use cases. To make a long story short it is an an all-in-one solution for automated marine operations designed with one mission in mind: reducing human involvement to boost safety, efficiency, and uptime. Operable via a tablet or bridge display, the RPR seamlessly responds to comands given. reducing the need for physical handling, crew presence on deck, or manual engagement on quaysides.

Marine Loading Arm (MLA)
AutoMooring Solutions is presenting an automated scale model of a Marine Loading Arm (MLA) at the trade fair. With this model, AMS demonstrates how existing maritime installations and transshipment systems can be made smarter, safer, and more efficient through retrofitting and automation. The scale model operates based on the same kinematic principles and control logic as a full-scale Marine Loading Arm, making the technology directly applicable to existing operational systems. In doing so, AMS demonstrates how existing infrastructures can be modernized without the complete replacement of installations. Additionally, AutoMooring Solutions is actively seeking partners within the maritime sector to jointly automate more maritime processes and existing systems and further develop them based on AMS's technological expertise and retrofit solutions.
