Second life through complete overhaul!

This 800 kW Jeumont Schneider Bow Thruster Motor was given a second life through a complete overhaul in our workshop.

Beyond restoring the motor to original condition, we engineered and installed a custom water cooling system (IC81W).
This upgrade increases usable continuous power while maintaining safe thermal margins; essential for demanding marine duty.

Scope of work:

- Complete overhaul in our workshop
- Replacement of all bearings
- New flange installed
- Custom-designed water jacket cooling system added
- Full sandblasting of housing
- Re-impregnation of windings
- Final coating and preservation
- Full test run under controlled conditions
- Detailed test reports issued

All work was executed with full traceability and in accordance with Bureau Veritas requirements.

This project is a good example of how engineering, repair and smart upgrades can extend asset life and unlock additional performance without compromising reliability.
