A DC version is available for LED and 24 V incandescent lights and an AC version is available for 115V AC or 230 VAC navigation lights. Each controller can handle up to 12 double navigation lights and each channel has a removable insert card. Each navigation light channel has a switch for switching on the main navigation light, the backup navigation light or automatic switch over. All control and monitoring is done by an upper system which is modbus Master, whereby the MS225 is Modbus slave. Each controller has an Ethernet connection and a RS485 connection which can be used in a multi drop configuration. The MS225 power supply is redundant for as well the navigation lights and the power supply. Failure of one of the power sources will be indicated and alarmed. Up to four controllers can be combined in one system to serve 48 channels. The first controller will serve as master for the additional controller.
