Together with inland navigation operators, ports, suppliers and service providers, we have been working since 2011 for the recognition and stimulation of sustainable and safe inland navigation.
Green Award does this on a non-profit basis with a challenging programme of requirements, combined with a system of inspiration, inspection, certification and reward.
Ships with a Green Award certificate distinguish themselves and are entitled to (financial) benefits from 50 parties, such as ports that give discount on harbour dues.
