Gangways and Accommodation Ladders
Gangways and walkways assure smooth handling of embarking and disembarking passengers, as rapidly and comfortably as possible. It is with this in mind that Blommaert designs, calculates and manufactures these highgrade ship boarding products. From different types of gangways, walkways and accommodation ladders in aluminium, to stairs and platforms. We make them all in our own workshops entirely to the customer's specification. In doing so, we place quality at the forefront together with the safety of our employees. Our products can be fabricated with certificated welding, tested by accredited inspection agencies such as Bureau Veritas. Discover more on our website!

Gas Shipping
Your specialist for transporting compressed liquefied gases HGK Gas Shipping specialises in transporting compressed liquefied gases. 19 inland waterway vessels in all, including the four largest gas tankers operating on the river Rhine, provide transport services for our customers. More than 50 years of experience, top reliability and sophisticated safety management make HGK Gas Shipping a valued partner for the chemical industry. The main products include LPG (propane, butane) and propylene (polymer/chemical/refinery grade) and ammonia. The commissioning of the new gas tanker GAS 95 is planned for the third to fourth quarter of 2023. It will be used to transport liquefied gases between the ARA ports and the Rhine region. The “GAS 95” will be characterised by enormous flexibility: With its dimensions of 110 metres in length and 11.45 metres in width, its characteristic of remaining navigable even at low draughts, and the design of the cargo system, the gas tanker is also suitable for use in the canals of Western Europe. By means of the installed power management system, the power provided is optimally adapted to the power demand, thus reducing fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. Once again, the concept, basic idea and engineering of the newbuilding were developed in the Design Centre of HGK Shipping. The “GAS 94”, which will enter service in 2021, served as a valid basis for further development and an absolute reference in terms of low-water optimisation. In addition, the forward-looking design was once again developed on the basis of the clear ideas of the transport management experts at HGK Gas Shipping GmbH in Hamburg. This ensures that the new construction programme of HGK Shipping will equally meet socio-political requirements and the needs of the chemical industry.

GRIP COUPLINGS
Pipe couplings with axial gripping capacity for connecting metal tubes. The anchoring ring with conically stamped teeth grips into the surface of the pipe (steel, stainless steel or cast iron) and provides a safe and high axial tensile strength. Thanks to the special design of the connector, it can even withstand strong vibrations. • Dual-lip sealing system. • Heavy locking bars. • Anchoring ring with conical gripping teeth. Grip couplings for tube diameters from 26.9 mm to 609.6 mm. Available with EPDM or NBR seal.

Groene Schroefrand
Jooren Shipscrews has developed an edge, the 'Green Screw Edge', which allows the ship's propeller to cut through the water with less resistance. Because you have less resistance, you can reach the same speed by sailing at lower revs. So you save fuel. So you get the same speed on average with 30/40 rpm less. As a result, Jooren Scheepsschroef has become a GREEN AWARD INCENTIVE PROVIDER. We grant inland vessels with a Green Award certificate a 25% discount on the 'Green Screw Edge'. The 'Green Screw Edge' contributes to fuel savings and noise reduction. This fits in perfectly with Green Award's mission: making shipping more sustainable in which the efforts of the ship owners are rewarded. It has also been scientifically tested through a CFD test at VICUSDT in Spain and at Flowcenter in Dordrecht. So do you already sail with your ships with this edge??

H-Flex PWR C-PUR

HamiltonJet
The waterjet has many advantages over conventional screw drives: - To be used on shallow draft - No parts rotating outside the hull (lifeboats) - Good maneuvering properties, even at low sailing speeds - Great comfort and ease of use - Good propulsion efficiency at higher speeds - Low maintenance costs and easily replaceable in emergencies The water jets can be supplied with impellers from 200 mm to approx. 1000 mm at capacities from 100 kW to 5500 kW. There are five types of jets - HJX Series, Improved performance and easier installation - HTX Series, fast and manoeuvrable - HJ-Series, for ships up to 20 meters - HM-Series for ships from 20 to 60 meters - HT-Series, for ships from 60 meters

HD rudders
The HD rudders provide an excellent manoeuvring performance, which is proven in practice and in the most stringent towing-tank trials. These high-efficiency rudders can be used with or without a nozzle. They have an asymmetrical profile and are always applied in a pair. The HD rudders have been especially developed for inland vessels in combination with a 2, 4 or 6 rudder propulsion set-up. The HD rudders have asymmetric rudder angles up to 80 degrees, providing optimal slipstream guidance. With these rudder you are assured of an excellent manoeuvring performance, also with low velocity (speed). They have a maintenance-friendly design and a long lifespan. DMC advises: The Van der Velden® Hydro spoiler for maximum performance. This spoiler improves the propulsion efficiency, increases speed and reduces vibrations and sounds.

Heat exchangers - Van der Leun Electrical Marine Systems
Following the introduction of water-cooled power electronics in variable-frequency controllers, we designed our own Van der Leun heat exchanger. This heat exchanger has been specially developed to ensure a stable cooling water temperature while minimising condensation in the frequency controls. The heat exchanger - also known as the Hex Unit - is available in several variants. We also have a Mini Hex, which is the Hex Unit's little brother. Both units are designed in such a way that the components are easily accessible from the front for maintenance. The Mini Hex has a soldered heat exchanger and is smaller in size. The piping system also has a smaller diameter than its big brother, but due to the dual-stage vane pump its flow equals that of the big hex unit in certain situations. The standard capacity of the Mini Hex is 40KW, in the version with a plate heat exchanger it is also available with slightly larger capacities. The standard design of the Hex Unit comes with a plate cooler, which can be extended to 180 kW. Instead of a technical water system, seawater can be used for cooling. If required, the plate coolers can be supplied with a classification certificate. Both systems can be equipped with a single or double pump, and also for the supply of external and internal water the configuration may vary. The Hex Units have a dedicated control circuit with a three-way valve. An overpressure valve ensures that the pressure does not reach undesired levels. Deaeration of the system occurs at three locations: on the pump itself to prevent the seals running dry; on the cooler by means of an automatic deaerator, and by manual deaeration. The latter is also used for filling the system. Want to know more? Feel free to contact us!
