Wheelhouse Ladders
The ladder to the wheelhouse must be safe first and foremost. Hinged non-slip steps, aluminium handrails, the upper platform in stainless steel, the built-in wheels and the LED lighting, among other things, ensure this is the case. But Blommaert also aims for attractively designed wheelhouse ladders. Ladders in which no bolts or pivot points are visible, the box section is nicely rounded and the finish is of the highest quality. Based on our many years of experience, we thus provide safe and pleasant wheelhouse access. Discover more on our website!

Stern Light Brackets & Masts
Blommaert aluminium stern light brackets are an important part of the finishing details on the deckhouse roof at the stern. They can carry not only navigation lights, but also other accessories such as satellite antennas, deck lights or flagpole holders. As standard, the stern light brackets are supplied with a roof mounting in steel or optionally in stainless steel. Our aluminium stern light bracket masts combine an aft mast with a stern light bracket. They provide an attractive and practical finish on the deckhouse roof at the stern. A stern light bracket mast means an optimised range of satellite antennas and while leaving the air draft intact. Our stern light bracket masts are supplied as standard with a hydraulic cylinder and a mast base in steel or stainless steel as an option. Discover more on our website!
Navigation Light Housings & Wings
Navigation light housings and navigation light wings are necessary navigation tools on board every vessel. Blommaert pays attention in their manufacture not only to their functionality but also to their aesthetics. This is how we make a virtue of necessity. All our navigation light housings and navigation light wings are hinged in order to prevent any possible damage. Discover more on our website!

Telescopic Radar Masts
Low air draft and limited space on the foredeck? In that case telescopic radar masts are the perfect answer. They are made of brushed stainless steel. Seals between the tubes mean that water ingress is reduced to a minimum. Discover more on our website!
Roof-mounted Radar Masts
Our aluminium roof-mounted radar masts are mounted on the wheelhouse. This enables the space on the aft deck to be used optimally. Folding the radar mast forward or back or lowering it telescopically requires only a short movement. As an option, the decorative wings can also tilt. Discover more on our website!

Aluminium Aft Masts
Blommaert’s hydraulic and remote-controlled aft masts are not only functional but also very attractive. They are made of aluminium and are mounted on the deck or the wheelhouse substructure. All aft masts can be equipped with side wings or yards, suitable for mounting a radar unit, satellite antennas and other fixtures. Cables, hoses and cylinders can run both inside and outside the mast. For optimum protection, we can finish the aft mast in high-grade paintwork. Discover more on our website!
Aluminium foremasts
The installation of a foremast offers several functional and aesthetic benefits. At Blommaert you can choose from different types of hydraulic foremasts, which can be remotely controlled. They are fully customised to suit your needs and wishes as closely as possible. Aluminium or stainless steel? Telescopic? Folding forward or back? With or without side wings? Cable ducts running along the inside or the outside? With high-grade paint finish? You can configure your own ideal foremast (including masthead and radar). We always ensure that it will be lower than the air draft with the mast down. Discover more on our website!

Gangways and accommodation ladders
Gangways and walkways assure smooth handling of embarking and disembarking passengers, as rapidly and comfortably as possible. It is with this in mind that Blommaert designs, calculates and manufactures these highgrade ship boarding products. From different types of gangways, walkways and accommodation ladders in aluminium, to stairs and platforms. We make them all in our own workshops entirely to the customer's specification. In doing so, we place quality at the forefront together with the safety of our employees. Our products can be fabricated with certificated welding, tested by accredited inspection agencies such as Bureau Veritas. Discover more on our website!

Solar hatches
With solar panels on your hatches, a 100% green energy will be generated. You will save on shore power and fuel costs. When combined with a battery system, Solar hatches reduces the time you will need to use the generator, allowing for savings on maintenance costs and also extending the lifetime of your generator. Solar panels allow you to be less dependent on price increases of fuel and shore power, now and in the future, as solar energy is free. Purchasing solar panels also allows for tax benefits and subsidies. These are applicable on both the custom hatches and the battery and solar panel system. With a Solar shutter system you can therefore achieve a return of 5 to 10% per year*. Our solar panels are highly efficient, thin and ultra lightweight. The solar panels require little maintenance, are dirt-resistant, robust and will be custom designed for your hatches. All components are IP67 certified and protected against dust, corrosion and salt water.. This is a complete solar panel system including integrated micro-inverters and cabling. The system is plug & play and can be easily connected to the on-board grid by your electrician. Frisian-style Hatch Covers
The Frisian-style hatch cover is a commonly used hatch cover for inland navigation vessels. It consists of separate aluminium hatch covers that are made to measure to match the hold width (from 4 to 12.5 metres). These hatch covers usually consist of three sections: two sloping sections that rest on the coaming, with a horizontal walkway in between. The most common type is the one that does not require any bar holes (notches) to be made (for a smooth coaming). Discover more on our website!

Sliding Hatch Covers
Blommaert aluminium sliding hatch covers meet all bulk and inland navigation needs. They are tailor-made for the vessel, durable, easy to maintain plus, thanks to their low weight, easy to operate manually. The more panels on different levels, the further they can be opened. EPDM seals between the levels keep the hold dry, and the hatch covers have guide wheels on only one side to compensate for differences in hold width. In addition, they can be easily stacked using hydraulic cylinders. We offer different types of sliding hatch covers: Delta sliding hatch covers, smooth sliding hatch covers and stacking hatch covers. Discover them on our website.
Hydraulic Hatch Cranes
Blommaert hydraulic hatch cranes are designed to enable Frisian-style hatch covers and other stackable marine hatch covers to be carefully stacked and moved. This combination is ideal because it ensures that all the elements in each project are coordinated. The most commonly used are the type HLW hatch cranes, either in the retractable version or otherwise (because of gangway width). We also make s-HLW hatch cranes or manually operated hatch cranes for smaller vessels, tug-pushed barges and vessels that need to open and close occasionally or do not have a power supply.
